GIRLS & BOYS SPRING CLINIC |
The Spring Clinic is open to all levels of players interested in improving their skill development and team work in a non-competitive fun environment. This program will be administered and overseen by the Club’s Professional Head Coaches, Sara Maglio and Alfredo Valente, and will be coached by their qualified Assistant Coaches.
Wednesday Evenings
6:00 – 7:00 Girls & Boys U7 ( 2001), U8 (2000), U9 (1999)
7:00 – 8:00 Girls & Boys U10 (1998), U11(1997), U12(1996)
Location: Charles Best
Registration Fee : $65 ( 8 weeks )
Dates : Wednesday, May 7th to Wednesday, June 25th
*Registration includes a Spring Clinic t-shirt.*

GIRLS & BOYS HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY |
During this phase there will approximately 12 players per group (U9 to U11) selected to the High Performance Academy. These selections will be made by the club’s Head Coaches, Alfredo Valente (for the boys) and Sara Maglio (for the girls). There will be selected game/tournament dates for these training groups, dates TBA. All players that commit to this High Performance Academy are expected to attend these game dates. Players will be notified by Alfredo Valente or Sara Maglio if they are to be invited in this program and at that time will be given direction on how to register.
Training times will be as follows:
Girls High Performance Academy– Monday Evenings
5:00 – 6:30 Under 9(1999) & Under 10(1998)
6:30 – 8:00 Under 11(1997)
Location : Charles Best
Registration Fee : $115 (8 weeks) does not include game & tournament costs.
Dates : Monday, April 28th to Monday, June 23rd

*Kit fee ($20.00) is mandatory* This will be a training shirt and will be used for Fall, Winter and Spring 2008/09 sessions. There will not be another kit fee charged until Spring 2009.

Boys High Performance Academy – Tuesday Evenings

GIRLS & BOYS GOAALKEEPING ACADEMY |
The goalkeeping development course will be led and instructed by Dennis Kindel, BC Soccer’s Head Goalkeeping Coach. The keepers development program will provide age appropriate training working on the physical, technical, and tactical side of goalkeeping.

GIRLS & BOYS SPEED AND AGILITY CLINIC |
The speed and agility program will be run by Craig Richards, former youth National team member with 7 years experience as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Players will focus on increasing their speed and agility in soccer specific movement patterns as well as learning proper techniques to prevent common injuries in the sport of soccer. Concepts to be covered include proper soccer specific warm-ups and cool downs, safe and efficient acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction, improved first step speed, and complicated movements with ball skills. Everything will be done in a fun, interactive, and educational format!”
Thursday Evenings

Uniforms
The jersey fee is $20.00. Jersey fee is mandatory for the High Performance and the Friday Player Academy. This training jersey will be used for Fall, Winter and Spring 2008/2009 sessions. There will not be another jersey fee charged until Fall 2009. Payment for the training shirt will be required before it is distributed and must be paid for online or included with your mail-in registration.

Refunds
- All refunds are subject to a cancellation fee of $25.00 prior to commencement of Academy sessions.
- Subsequent refunds (excluding the jersey fee) will be subject to $25.00 cancellation fee, and a pro-rated refund based on the sessions lapsed.
- Exceptional circumstances will be reviewed and assessed by the club on an individual basis.
- Jersey fee is non-refundable.
- NSF cheques are subject to a $25.00 charge.
Out of Club Players
- Out of club players may register for our Academy but will be placed on a waiting list as the first priority for our Academies is for players within our club. Players not registered with the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club must add $30.00 onto their registration fee.
Commitment
- Players are expected to arrive on time ready to play wearing their jersey, shin pads, and proper footwear and with a water bottle.
- Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Academy is open to motivated players of all skill levels committed to improvement. Players who prove to be disruptive to this training environment will lose their place in the program and a pro-rated refund (after a $25 administrative fee deduction) will be given based on the number of sessions they have attended.
Cancellations
- The Academy sessions will only be cancelled in severe weather conditions. If this is the case you will be notified via email of any cancellations and we will do everything possible to make the cancelled sessions up. The club will not be responsible for refunds if we are unable to reschedule these missed sessions due to weather.
