The 8th Annual Coquitlam Metro-Ford Golf Tournament took place on June 21st 2008 at the Westwood Plateau Golf Academy and was a huge success and a sell-out!! Approximately 75 Golfers (of sorts!) turned out for a day of golfing and an evening of food and celebration at Yasas Restaurant in Coquitlam.
For the first time ever, we had a golfer hit a "Hole in One"! That honour goes to Mike Locki.....way to go Mike! .
This year's tournament received great support from our community partners, with over 50 donations of fabulous prizes for the lucky winners! We are grateful to our numerous sponsors for this event. Also, many, many thanks to Ken Williams for volunteering as our Golf Tournament Coordinator once again this year, and for putting together a first rate tournament for golfers and non-golfers alike!! Thanks Ken!!

Good luck to the following five teams as they vie for a Provincial Championship in Burnaby and Prince George, July 3rd - 6th.  Check back here for updated results from this top youth competition.  The National Championships take place in October of this year for the U14, U16 and U18 divisions.  Four of our five teams are eligible for the National competition, should they win the Provincial Championship.

U14 Select Ajax 0:0 against Whalley
U16 Select Dynamo won 10:0 vs Kelowna

Girls:
U16 Metro Silence lost 4:0 to Surrey
U17 Metro Attack 0:0 vs Vancouver
U18 Metro Xtreme won 2:0 over Surrey United Rage

Sunday, July 13th - double header - 4:00pm - Women vs. Fort Collins and 7:00pm - Men vs. Carolina.
Tickets are only $15.00 each for both games.
Our club players will be involved in the 50/50, pre game clinics, Whitecaps and visiting team escorts, flagbearers, half-time games and much more.  Please come out and support our club and the Vancouver Whitecaps Mens and Women's teams.

One of the added benefits of having a club night is that the Whitecaps host a pre-game clinic for our club players. There is a limit of 62 players allowed into the pre-game clinic and all players must register at the following link REGISTER. The pre-game clinic is at 2:30pm at Swangard stadium and registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. All players at the pre-game clinic and parents must purchase a ticket for the game.

The Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club will host The Coquitlam Metro-Ford 22nd Annual Labour Day Tournament.  The tournament will take place from Friday, August 29th to Monday, September 1st, 2008.
